Frauke Bohge 1983
In her recent works, Frauke Bohge explores the motif of the bridge as a symbol of transition, connection, and renewal. The bridge functions as a passage between past and future, between what is known and what lies ahead. It reflects the human desire to move forward while acknowledging what must be left behind.
At the same time, it represents encounter, understanding, and the delicate balance between proximity and distance. Within Bohge’s compositions, the bridge emerges as a space of possibility — a visual metaphor for change, continuity, and hope.
